The movers issue 22854
Though unaware of any official numbers, I have never met an Israeli that LIVES HERE and still works as a mover. Movers are, by definition, illegal Israeli tourists - nice guys that just got off the army and came to NYC for 2-6 months. They mostly have no other legal choice but to take part in the moving industry. They do not represent the "American dream", they are just having a summer vacation in NYC.
I do know, on the other hand, a lot of computer programmers and lawyers, only our friend seems to have missed them.
And as for Izhar's remark - come on!!! I also read prose in Hebrew and speak in Hebrew with my family on the phone. What would you expect? IT IS my first language. I read online magazines in Hebrew AND English, if that is okay with you. And of course, I love Israel and care greatly for it, let us please not get into the very long conversation on what is wrong with Israel and why .
Correction 22856
Izhar - I have of course misread your comment, sorry for that, thought for a minute there that you are refering to language and not to content. Please disregard my previous comment. And I do regard this article as highly optimistic as far as Israel goes, won't you agree?
