First about Haaretz Article that initiated the debate

Take Akiva Eldars own Professional Honesty as he is asserting.

Is the Head of AMAN, Zeev Parkash belong to this organization or not?

So again, to Eldars opinion is General Zeevi belong to AMAN or not?

Eldar is trying to raise the dead from their graves by reminding us, and making the unavoidable correlation between the Yom Kipurs disastrous Conception and this 2001 Intifada Conception(?)He is very well aware of the influence of those Ghosts on our collective mind and making nice cynical usage of it.

Eldar is taking and using the dark days of the communist regimes in treating opponents that are holding confronting opinion and using it at the precise same connotation in our very days.

Isnt that really frightening/alarming/disgusting (choose to your likeness) or what?

Those are excerpts from Eldars Haaretz article on the issue and they were not being taken off its context, the meaning is the precise Eldars intention. Eldar style is really disturbing even for those that never knows Gilad or having anything to do with him.

But hold on, is that Eldars unique style or it just became the Israeli mainstream journalisms behavior?

The Eldars approach here is alarming; the guy is trying to make a Character Murder to Gilad and that prior even to him dealing with the real issues.

Eldar is sinning in using the same wrong as AMANs, he is expressing too many (and may we say: confused) estimations instead of sticking to a simple fact reporting, Both, Eldar and AMAN are making the same mistake and may we add with the same lack of talent.

AMANs primer duty, as well as the journalists duty is bringing, first and foremost, facts and intelligence that is based on the factual events from the field. The impression arises here is that some are trying to cover incompetence and inability to provide a real-time facts with a slue of Estimations.
Are those guys, Journalists and some AMANNs current elements simply confusing their apparent duties with own Human Factor and wishful thinking?

The fact and the matter is that many if not the majority of AMANs estimations in the past decades found to be wrong and misleading. The similarity of the AMANs performance and the Israeli Journalism performance is not circumstantial only.

Is that coming from megalomaniac inclination to show off ability even while it is not there and nobody was asking for?

Is all that estimations and Assessments is coming from the inclination to force political processes without any justification and just using our democratic system against itself by some AMANs elements and Journalists that are opposing the Gilad and the current same political system?

Trouble is that we the readers, the consumers of those news and events are not behaving as Jews any more, we are not using our major Jewish Assets namely: questioning our surrounding, doubting those Educated Estimationswe are behaving like a herd of nerds or sheep, we are behaving much like the gentiles, accepting all that poured on us by the so called experts (many times in their own view) instead of questing it, using own mind and common sense, would that be those of Malca, Gilad (Yes, even him probably, to lesser extent though), Eldars and many others alike.

The Alex Fishmans Article in the Last Fridays Yediot issue is enlightened. He called it The Misleading that never happen there he was asserting that the problem and the blame should be pointed actually to the Accuser The AMANs previous boss Amos Malca, after all he was in charge on the AMAN organization during those times, right? So how come he opened his mouth only now? If there was a decision-making-system misleading by one of his subordinates how come he did not rose and stopped it in time?
Actually General Malca was fast to note (As it was written in the same Yediot issue) that the Headlines on the issue were bombastic Eldar sweetie, to yours attention!

My Chinese old times friend is saying on such: When you are pointing your finger at the other, look where your thumb is pointing atAt yourself dummy

Learning about the issue itself, namely: Is Gilad was correct or mistaken we should be referred to Dov Anshelowitzs posting in this thread; it seems that he caught the tiger in his tail and any added explanation would be underestimating his.

To demonstrate the irony behind the so called Estimation and Opinions I will bring the statistics for help demonstrating my points.

Lets take an ordinary people like me or (Assuming) you for instance.

As newspaper readers you can and would expect us to estimate situations based on a plain and regular reading and be correct in roughly 50% of the cases. That usually the situation, most avid newspaper readers are able to estimate events and occurrences in pretty much 50% accuracy.

So what makes Journalists and intelligent services being out of track that much and publish that many wrong estimations is yet to be explained to the root cause of it.

Actually our intelligence services are not that far away of the CIA and other such services. Only a few weeks ago it was published (I can not recall now where) that the Americans are having a serious second thought in the need and the value of spending that much hundreds of billions of dollars on those services that many average newspaper readers are actually able to be more precise and predict in greater accuracy strategic global moves then those dollar hungry services.

Having said that, it is obvious that there is no replacement to the tactical, sometime real time intelligence that those intelligence agencies are able and have to bring forward, those kind of intelligence that news papers, though may be excelled on strategic events predictions, would fail miserably on those tactics intelligence collection.

Now, about those Journalists and their so called Opinions. Well, I have no problem with a journalist that is presenting himself as belong to a specific political stream and he is then expresses his opinion accordingly leaving the choice with me the reader by providing me with enough data to make an intelligent (hopefully) decision.
I have real problem with a (The) journalist that is pretending to be balanced and open minded while his inclination towards a specific political stream is obvious and revealed from any line (and in between the lines) of his article. Shell we call it dishonesty perhaps?
That is not an Honest Opinion that is an attempt to lure and push readers towards his particular political inclination while coating that with the syrup (honey trap) of objectivity, that is a phony way to deceive peoples minds.
Unfortunately too many of our journalists are taking this rout trusting the foggy mind of their readers not to notice the masking text surrounding their articles that hiding their real intentions. A careful (not scientific) observation may hint to the fact that they are successful in their plot on about third of our population. Pity ha?

The soviets, during their darkest times (well, actually all their times were darkest, right?) used to tackle political opponents by accusing them in all sort of mental diseases and by that brushing (a gentle word for elimination) them out of the way.
Eldars insistence on recalling the Amos Gilads detailed health situation is more then just coincidental, it is brought up to demote Giads ability to come up with any rational prediction and estimation. It is wicked way to brush aside an opponent, right?

Everybody can throw a stone to the river.

Would you mind pick up your stone and explain how come?

Small hint # 1: read carefully the whole posing.

Small hint # two: Do not take one paragraph out of the whole postings context
