There is no Palestinian minister or other personality called Marwan Kanafani. You mix up three persons:
1. Marwan Barghuthi, the Ramallah Tanzim leader
2. Ghassan Kanafani, a Palestinian writer, political activist and Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine spokesman, assassinated by Israel with a letter bomb in 1972
3. Imad al-Faluji,a Palestinian minister from the Khalas party (a splinter party which left the Hamas in 1994/5 to join Yasser Arafat's cabinet); he is the one who said in a demonstration in Lebanon that the Intifada had been prepared in advance.
